CLOSE CALL ON MAIN STREET

 

7/1/2008- At 21:45 hrs, just as crews were leaving the monthly meeting, Long Hill, with Trumbull Center as Mutual Aid and Nichols as RIT, were alerted to 5090 Main St for a reported structure fire. LH-2 and Ladder-Tower 204 arrived with nothing showing from the exterior of the house. L-204 crew made there way inside to a second floor bedroom and found a fire which appeared to be out with no extension. The fire appeared to have started when a curtain came into contact with a lamp and ignited. LH-2 had command. (Photo courtesy of D. Bogen)

 

Units responding were:

Long Hill - Cars 1,2 L-204, S-209,E-205, E-202, E-206

Trumbull Center - Cars 2,3,4 T-104

Nichols - Cars 1,2 T-304 and Q-303.
