. DECEMBER '09 NEWS FIRST SET OF PRODUCTION PHOTOS ARRIVE FOR NEW RESCUE
12/29/2009- The new Rescue 200 is well into production and the chassis has arrived at the plant. The replacement truck is being manufactured by Marion Body Works located in Marion, WI. We will post more pictures and info as we receive it from the manufacturer.

Tonight the members of the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company #1 Inc, led by
President Frank Novak, assembled on the Long Hill Green to honor Past
Assistant Fire Chief Chester James Main. Chief Main passed away on
December 15, 1957 when an accident occurred while hanging lights on the
tree that was used for the town tree lighting.
9th ANNUAL FILL-A-FIRETRUCK TOY DRIVE
12/12/2009- Today the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company #1 Inc. hosted it's 9th Annual Fill-A-Firetruck Toy Drive. Despite the frigid temperatures, the Long Hill Fire Co. #1 Inc was able to collect 1081 toys that were delivered to Trumbull Social Services. Since December 12, an additional 300 toys were received that were donated to Yale Children's Hospital. The Long Hill Fire Co. #1 Inc. would like to thank everyone who supported our Toy Drive again this year.
CAR ROLLS ON CHESTNUT HILL
12/6/2009- At 15:15 hrs, Long Hill was dispatched to Chestnut Hill for the motor vehicle accident/rollover. Squad 209, Rescue 200 and LH-3 responded to find a single vehicle accident with no entrapment. Units stabilized the scene until the car could be removed by the wrecker (Photo courtesy of A. Rauso)
