LONG HILL AIDS IN LAUNDRY ROOM FIRE

 

5/31/2009- Trumbull Center was dispatched with mutual aid coming from Long Hill & Nichols to Reservoir Ave for an activated commercial fire alarm.  Tower Ladder 204, LH-1 & 2 responded from the Hill.  Before arrival, units were updated there was a fire located in the laundry room of the structure.  Units on scene extinguished a small fire located in one of the dryers with a water extinguisher and ventilated the basement to clear the lingering smoke.

ONE EXTRICATED IN ACCIDENT OFF LAKE AVENUE

 

5/15/2009- At 20:55 hrs, Long Hill with mutual aid from Trumbull Center & Nichols were dispatched to the intersection of Lake Ave & Elliott Road for the motor vehicle accident with extrication.  First arriving units reported a 2 vehicle accident with one occupant trapped.  The call was reduced to Long Hill units only & Rescue 200, Ladder 204 & Squad 209 worked to remove the trapped victim.
