. MARCH '11 NEWS HOUSE FIRE ON PLUMTREE LANE
3/2/2011- At 15:30hrs, Long Hill was dispatched to Plumtree Lane to investigate smoke coming from a house. Moments later, Trumbull Regional Dispatch re-toned the call as a structure fire at that location. Trumbull Center and Nichols (RIT) were added to the assignment. LH-2 arrived first on scene and reported smoke coming from the structure. Squad 209 was the first engine on scene and stretched a hose to the front door. The crew encountered heavy smoke conditions and located a fire on the first floor. Trumbull Center Engine 103 arrived 2nd due and began to secure a water source down the street from the scene. Engine 206 arrived 3rd due and transferred its tank water to S-209. Interior crews knocked the fire down quickly. All units with the exception of S-209 were released around 5:00pm. S-209 remained on scene assisting the Trumbull Fire Marshall's office with their investigation and were released around 7:00pm. (Photos courtesy of F. Novak & FM Office)
