LONG HILL ASSISTS IN FATAL ACCIDENT


05/20/2011- At 12:00hrs, Long Hill & Trumbull Center were dispatched to Route 25 southbound near exit 9 for an extrication. LH-21 arrived and reported a 2 car accident. 1 patient in a vehicle was transported with minor injuries while the operator of the other vehicle was unfortunately found deceased. Units remained on scene for an extended period of time assisting State Police.

 

 

UNITS ASSIST IN SEARCH FOR MISSING CHILDREN

 

05/18/2011- At 01:36hrs, Long Hill was requested to respond the Wolf Park in Monroe to assist the Monroe Fire Departments in locating 2 lost children believed to be in the park.  LH-4, Engine 205, Truck 208 & Gator 1 responded to the park where they searched nearby side roads & properties to try to located the missing children.  Units remained on scene until early morning and were returned by 09:00 when the children were located.

 


 

LONG HILL EXTINGUISHES LARGE SHED FIRE


05/11/2011- At 12:48hrs, Long Hill was dispatched to Brittany Ave for a shed fire. LH-3 arrived and reported a large 30X20 shed fully involved. E-206 was the first arriving Engine Company and stretched a supply line to the rear of the property and placed a 2 1/2 hose in operation to extinguish the fire. L-204 arrived and assisted E-206. S-209 was assigned water supply and assisted E-206 with making the hydrant connection. Other units on scene were E-103, Trumbull FM1, and TC1. Nichols units stood by at Long Hill Station 1. All units cleared around 3:00pm.
