7/11/17 – Douglas Bogen Retires as Chief of the LHFD
July 11, 2017 – On Tuesday night at the regularly scheduled Monthly Meeting, Douglas Bogen served his final meeting as Chief of the Long Hill Fire Department. Chief Bogen became a Lieutenant in the organization in 1984 and served as a Line Officer for 33 years. He became an Assistant Chief in 1995 and eventually became the Chief in 2010. Chief Bogen always focused on firefighter safety and apparatus maintenance. The members of the LHFD are grateful for his guidance, leadership, and dedication and we wish him well in his future endeavors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Deputy Chief Alex Rauso was made Acting Chief of the LHFD.
