Personal Safety Systems Training – 12/1/16
December 1, 2016 – On Thursday night, the first group of LH Firefighters began hands-on training with the new personal safety systems which were recently purchased. Over the next month, all LH Firefighters will undergo several hours of hands-on training on the escape system. All Firefighters recently completed a classroom presentation on the importance of the system, it’s components, and how to properly deploy it. These systems are carried by Firefighters in their personal protective equipment to use in an emergency situation as an absolute last resort to exit a building or structure. These systems allow Firefighters to escape out windows of upper floors when conditions inside a fire become untenable for Firefighters to operate.
